Please pre-order online (which requires initially setting up a web account). If you receive a message saying your username is already in use this means you have an active account and just need to request a password reset to continue. Please don't set up a another account because this splits your Loyalty Points. We process orders in the same order received and will call you when ready for pickup. All-grain orders that need milling take the longest to prepare so please plan ahead.
We have two hand cranked mills available to our local customers for crushing grain bought from us. Our mills are shared and often busy -- please allow ample time for crushing after making your purchase.
We don't have the means to grind 50 or 55 lb sacks of grain although we do sell high quality yet very reasonably priced mills. This allows you to save money by buying bulk grain from us and crushing it at home over a beer (it's half the fun anyway).
We generally don't ship to APO/DPO/FPO addresses or internationally. As much as we would like to we just aren't well setup for it and prefer to "be local."
We ship to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. We cannot ship to Post Office Boxes.
Orders ship via UPS Ground with deliveries made Monday through Saturday. Most East Coast destinations take 1 - 2 business days and up to 5 business days for the West Coast.
Most orders placed by 4 PM Eastern Time will ship the same day (when all items are in stock). Orders received after 5 PM, on weekends, holidays or non-business days, will be processed our next regular business day. We cannot guarantee specific shipping or delivery dates (although we'll give it a good shot). Factors that may delay orders include product availability, assembly time and inclement weather.
We represent our products to the best of our ability but items, and associated pictures, can change over time. If you have a question, please ask before placing your order.
If an error is found we will correct our webstore and any outstanding orders as quickly as possible. We try to be accurate but cannot guarantee that every item will be in stock or available at all times and reserve the right to discontinue products without notice. We may also ocassionally offer pricing or products unique to our storefront, or exclusive to our webstore, in which case they will only be honored where and in the manner indicated.
Electronic confirmation indicates we have your order but in some rare cases we may cancel it after the fact, supply less of an item then desired, or determine a product has gone out of stock entirely. In the latter cases we will contact you to discuss substitutions, back ordering, or refund/cancellation.
We guarantee the freshness of our ingredients and kits for 30 calendar days from date of purchase. If you have a concern about an item, or a question on how to use it, DO NOT CONTINUE and call us for help on (703) 241-3874. We're human and can make mistakes so while we can replace individual ingredients we can't replace entire batches of brew!
If something you ordered is missing, damaged, or defective please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 calendar days so we can promptly resolve the matter for you.
myLHBS automatically collects sales tax for Virginia orders. You may be responsible for taxes owed to other states.
If you are unsatisfied with an item you may send it back with proof of purchase within 30 calendar days and we will refund your purchase price, less the cost of shipping. Unless we made a fulfillment error, or the items were damaged in transit, you are responsible for costs incurred in shipping the items back to us. Items must be unused, include the original product packaging, and be accompanied by our sales receipt.
Most of our equipment comes with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects (not wear and tear). If you believe you have a defective product please contact us for assistance.
Returns from online purchases require a Return Authorization Number. Request a R.A. Number by contacting us on email@example.com with your full name, order number, and detailed description of the reason for your return.
We reserve the right to refuse items returned without a Return Authorization Number, that have been used improperly, are incomplete or disassembled, or were damaged in transit due to inadequate shipper packaging. Please let us know if you need help.
